Welcome to the WhatsApp Templates Operator Manual for SMSPort (smsport.in). This guide is written specifically for business operators, front-desk managers, and marketers who manage outbound broadcast campaigns and automated customer notifications.

WhatsApp message templates are pre-approved message formats required by Meta to initiate conversations with customers outside the 24-hour service window.

WhatsApp Template Operational Lifecycle

To access the Templates Management Console:

Log in to your SMSPort console at smsport.in.
On the left main navigation sidebar, click on Templates (or navigate directly to https://smsport.in/templates).
You will arrive at the primary Templates operational workspace.

Top Action Bar

At the top right of the Templates screen, you will find four critical action buttons:

Standard Template Library	Tab Navigation	Opens the catalog of 100+ pre-approved Meta Utility & Authentication templates for instant 1-click adoption. Refer to Template Library Guide.
Create New Template (Classic)	Green Primary (`bg-[#177245]`)	Opens the full-page, two-column creation studio with live mobile preview. Refer to Create New Template Guide.
+ Create Template	Light Gray (`bg-gray-100`)	Opens a fast, 7-step slide-out modal panel to draft and submit templates without leaving the list view.
Sync WhatsApp Templates	White / Secondary Border	Manually triggers a real-time sync with Meta Graph API. Changes button text to `Syncing...` and updates all template statuses in your table.
Manage Templates on Meta	Dark Slate (`bg-[#2e3646]`)	Opens the official Meta Business Manager WhatsApp Template Manager in a new browser tab for your connected WABA account.
Live Test	Green Accent (`bg-[#1e854d]`)	Opens the instant outbound test popup. Allows you to send any approved template to your own mobile phone in seconds. Refer to Live Testing Guide.

Template Status Badges & Lifecycle

Every template submitted through SMSPort is evaluated by Meta's automated safety checks and human review teams. The current state is shown in the Status column of your table:

1. Approved

Badge Style: Soft green background (#defceb) with dark green text (#1e854d).
Meaning: The template complies with Meta WhatsApp Business policies. It is active and immediately available for visual bot builder flows, drip campaigns, and bulk broadcasts.

2. Pending Review

Badge Style: Soft yellow background (#fff7d1) with amber text (#b07d00).
Meaning: Your template has been received by Meta and is currently undergoing review. Most templates are reviewed within 1 to 15 minutes, though complex media templates can take up to 24 hours.

3. Rejected

Badge Style: Soft red background (#ffe3e3) with crimson text (#cc0000).
Meaning: Meta rejected the template due to policy violations, incorrect category selection, or floating variables without sample values.

4. Paused

Badge Style: Light gray background (#f1f5f9) with slate text (#475569).
Meaning: The template was previously approved, but customers frequently reported or blocked messages sent using this template, causing its quality rating to drop to Low. Meta temporarily pauses the template to protect your phone number quality.

Operating the Templates Table

The workspace table provides immediate access to all synced templates for your connected WhatsApp Business Account:

Page Size Selector (Show entries): Change the number of visible templates from 10, 25, 50, up to 100 per page.
Instant Search Box: Type any keyword into the Search: input. The table instantly filters across both template names and category types.
Row Actions:
- Copy Name (Clipboard Icon): Copies the exact technical template name (e.g. order_confirmation_v2) to your clipboard with a single click. Useful when configuring bot nodes or API triggers.
- Live Preview (Eye Icon): Opens the slide-over drawer showing the exact rendering of the header, body text, sample variables, footer, and interactive buttons as seen by a mobile recipient.
